2025 - 2026 Discipleship Team (D TEAM)
4th – 6th Grade Boys and Girls
6th Graders who join the D-team may attend Youth services on Wednesday nights after they are finished with D-team activities.

Weekly Meetings
We will meet weekly on Wednesday Evenings 5:00 PM – 6:15 PM. Our meetings will always start in Kid's Church. Meeting dates will run with the Wednesday night church schedule. Our first meeting will be Wednesday, September 17, 2025. Our last meeting will be May 20, 2026.

What to Bring to the meeting:
D- Team members should bring the following to church each week for the D- Team meeting and Wednesday night church:
Bible, Completed Devotional journal, Pen/Pencil, Good Attitude and your D-team t-shirt.

Church Service is from 6:30 – 8:00 PM Wednesday evenings and the team will serve using the skills they learn during our meeting times. Team members can also serve on a monthly rotation during our Sundays services.

Cost
We are asking each D-team member to pay a $35 fee for the year. This will be used to cover your devotional journal, T-shirt, and other expenses. We would like all 4-6th graders to participate in D-team, so if this is a financial hardship, please talk to Pastor Tina.

Attendance

Attendance is key to team growth and commitment. Since we’re rehearsing puppet skits and preparing for performances, it’s important everyone is present and on time. Please let us know if you can’t attend. Students who miss our D-team meeting, will not perform in puppets or be on the worship platform that night. After 3 absences, without contacting Pastor Tina or Pastor Gayle, a meeting with the student and parents will be scheduled to discuss their commitment.

Daily Devotions

Spending daily time with God is essential to our growth as Christians and a key part of the Discipleship Team. D-Team members are expected to read their Bible, pray, worship, and complete their Foundations of Faith Journal daily (10–15 minutes). Kids need their Bible and journal each week for our meeting. Parents should help maintain consistency and check journals before church. The first journal is provided; replacements cost $15. Bibles are available for first year members.

Students who complete 6–7 devotions a week will earn a soda shop reward. To participate in Puppets or Worship team, at least 5 devotions must be completed weekly. Those with 4 or fewer will complete them during meeting time.

Worship

Worship is how we show God we love Him. As a leader, others watch your example—so give Jesus your full attention by singing, lifting your hands, and focusing on Him. This encourages others to do the same. Worshipping on the platform is a privilege, not a performance. You must first be a lead worshipper on the floor before being invited to the platform.

Only students who show leadership during worship with their peers will be invited on the platform. If you're distracting others, you'll meet with Pastor Tina and Pastor Gayle to discuss your commitment to leadership and the team.

Puppet Ministry

Puppet ministry is one of the things D-team members love to learn and do. If you are on the puppet team you will be practicing puppet songs, skits and puppetry skills.
Puppet Performances will only be done by D-team members who are respectful and hardworking during practice time, as well as during service times on Sundays and Wednesdays.
Performers must be a positive leadership example to kids and adults.

Set an example

We expect our D-team members to be the leaders in Kid's Church. We want to see you have a positive attitude about the things that we do in Kid's ministry, even if it is not your favorite activity.
We expect you to be respectful to ALL adult leaders, including your parents.
We expect you to help care for our classrooms and the church by keeping it clean and even cleaning up messes you did not make.
We expect you to welcome visitors and show kindness to everyone.

Media Team

Media team will make videos for Kid's Ministry and Snow Daze. Some things they might create are: Bible Story Videos, podcasts, Snow Daze videos, God's Rules and whatever other things they can come up with.
All videos will stay in house. We will NOT be posting anything on Social Media. We will send videos to parents of kids in D-team so you can see what we have been working on via a link to our private Kid's Ministry Youtube page.

Additional Information

Is there anything else we should know about you, the D-team member?
Do you foresee any difficulty completing devotions, or any of the expectations above?

D-team Dinner

Parents, would you consider making a meal for our D-team on Wednesday night? You would prepare a meal for about 25 people and bring it to room 121 at 5:50pm.
If you are not able to make a meal, you could donate money for someone else to cook it, or for us to order pizza. Another way to help out is to help clean up after the meal.
We will have a link to sign up in your conformation e-mail.
